It's amazing how people lack the common sense despite the perceived intelligence they display in their studies. Over the discussion of building a financial model, a certain MCP, full of conceit, actually suggested that a drawdown transaction on day 1, is subjected to different interest rate charges as it fluctuates daily, rather than a single interest rate that occurs at the time of drawdown...c'mon, think abt it...for credit card charges, would banks charge customers different interest rates daily as it fluctuates? Banks must be stupid, as they need to input new interest rates charges each day..no matter how many employees they employ then, it will not be sufficient. Customers, on the other hand, will not want to borrow from banks if they are charged differently from one day to the next. This idea is too absurd to be translated into excel, as it requires 365 lines per transaction/borrowing...but this MCP insisted it was the right way to go, despite my common-sensical explanation ...i was therefore, secretly glad when he was proven wrong...Woohoo!! It is important to take note that even if you're an expert in some areas, it doesn't automatically translate into an expert for EVERY single thing. Confidence is a good sign, but overconfidence will break you eventually...you're never always right..for sure... It is always good to practise some humility and be open to suggestions - otherwise, the other way out only leads to embarrassment...

Anyway, that aside…met up with some friends for a bdae celebration on fri, over at Kuali @ Suntec City...the buffet standard was by far the worst i've ever experienced...the food doesn't really fill the stomach...seems more like a dessert place...so it's definitely not worth the price...Here are some pics from then:
