Another free day for us yesterday, and we headed for this intersection between St Michel Boulevard & St Germain Boulevard: The latin quarter, where it is known to have nice and cheap eats..

It was 2 plus in the afternoon when we got there, and we were famished! Being the typical Singaporeans we were, we decided to look for an eating place with the most patrons. "Le Bistrot 30' " was chosen:
We ordered from this 10 euros lunch menu:
Starters: French onion soup & Pork Pate

Main Course: Beef & Grilled chicken Leg

For Dessert: Michaela had Chocolate Mousse,

And i had an apple tart...

Despite the fact that we looked kind of happy with the food, truth is, the food sux! It was either not tasty enough, or too sweet etc, although portions look big n deceiving..

Looks like the Singaporean mentality that many patrons = good food cannot be used here!

The only saving grace though was it's quaint decor:

We were much happier after we left the Bistro, but Michaela was freezing cold cuz she only wore 2 layers...that's why we huddled together and walked...haha

Some sights we saw along the way:

Flower shop
I'm definitely gonna buy chocolates from here! They look so yummy and all, shall have my chocolat chaud as well :)

We went to like 2 bookshops before coming to Shakespeare and Company, and all the other bookstores sell french books only! How annoying, wasn't able to find a book for bedtime reading, until we came across this quaint little store.

The couple standing in front of the store looking so romantic and all? They started kissing right after we took the picture. It's funny how kissing is like a french obsession? They can just stop anytime, any place, just so to kiss...We see that very commonly everywhere we go...haha

Interior of the Bookstore: Notice the picture below that there are small little stairs leading up to the 2nd storey? How cute!

By the time we finish with picking out our books, it was already 7 plus, time to head home so that we catch the shuttle in time! We ran to school the moment we reached the train station and this is a picture of us after we got on the bus, after the run...

Again, we displayed the singaporean in us, running for the bus when everyone else was casually walking to the bus...bleahz
